IT Specialist
Dynamic Austin company seeking IT Specialist (Tier I) to assist in supporting all aspects of company’s IT needs including desktop and email troubleshooting, network security, user connectivity and server administration. Must have strong internal drive, be a self starter, and have excellent customer service skills. Please see below for specific technical requirements.
Required experience for position:
1-3 years experience as an IT Specialist or equivalent position.
Ability to use with Dell PowerEdge server hardware.
Troubleshoot hardware issues and complete any hardware part replacement with Dell Optiplex enterprise desktops and Dell Latitude enterprise notebook produce lines.
Perform setup and troubleshoot common issues with Outlook 2007 including with basic user and mailbox administration: creating, deleting, purging mailboxes.
Troubleshoot Windows XP and Office 2003/2007.
Also works with Windows 2003 Server and Exchange 2003.
Basic Active Directory management: managing users, computers, security and distribution groups, organizational units; and must know basic Active Directory Group Policies.
IP networking including: IP addressing, subnetting, routing and DNS, DHCP services.
Manages backup systems (Backup Exec or Microsoft DPM).
Troubleshoot and setup of basic WiFi wireless networking.
Must have ability to manually remove spyware and malware from desktop .
Basic knowledge of Windows 7 in the enterprise (management + unattended install).
Some experience with Cisco VPN soft-client software in addition to basic experience with Apple Mac hardware and Mac OS X.
