.NET Developer Job Description:
TEKsystems’ client has an immediate need for a contract-to-hire .NET Developer. This individual will have hands-on experience with the entire software development lifecycle and will be skilled in software development best practices, quality, and unit test automation. Finally, this candidate must be a fast learner and will play a key role on the product development team.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience.
- Experience with .NET, C#, T-SQL, SQL Server.
- Experience with Web Services and SOA.
- Solid Object Oriented Design skills and firm understanding of OO Principles.
- Experience with Agile software development (Scrum, XP, etc.)
- TDD
- Experience writing quality unit tests using NUnit or other comparable unit testing framework.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A proven ability to see projects through to completion.
- Excellent knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience with SVN, CVS or similar source control system.
- Optimizing and improving existing processes and code.
- Collaborating with team members to solve business problems.
- Software design with an emphasis on testability and maintainability.
- Assist Product Management in defining features and requirements.
- Working with QA for project estimation and developing appropriate testing strategies.
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 2-4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with CruiseControl.NET or other Continuous Integration software.
- Experience using mocking frameworks such as RhinoMocks in unit testing.
- Understanding of proper refactoring and experience using refactoring tools such as Resharper.
- Passion for software development and best practices.
