Adecco Engineering & Technical is looking for a computer technician to work a project until June. The position pays $10/hr.
The responsibility of this associate is to primarily image all computers that are sent from the warehouse to the operations in an efficient and expedient manner. This includes the laptops used in the operations, the VSAT servers, as well as units assigned to staff. Any cosmetic or hardware issues with the machines are identified by this individual and addressed to accordingly to insure their readiness.
This position insures the readiness of all printers used in the operations which will include both laser and ink jet printers. This process includes the testing, packing and replenishing of all accessories for these items.
The position is also a backup position to assist with the systems admin in technical support of in-house staff and sites as well. It also aids in the preparation of all network equipment as well as assist in duties as asked of by the communications specialist.
In the event that large orders are received, assistance to the warehouse logisticians may be needed for the preparation and shipping of these orders. This is a requirement of all staff in which this position also assists in.
Without this position, the readiness of the equipment listed above could not be guaranteed and the operations as well as the clients would suffer. Lack of this position would also affect the day to day operations since the individual provides assistance in multiple areas.
A certification is required
Must be very proficient in the use of Norton Ghost to image laptops and troubleshoot any issues or problems that may arise in the imaging process.
Must have a general understanding of both a network infrastructure and its components.
Some familiarity with Active Directory is recommended. -Candidate must be able to lift objects greater than 70lbs. F
Forklift certification is not required but a definite plus.
