Position Description:
POSITION TITLE: Automated Data Processing Equipment Technician
FUNCTIONAL TITLE: ADPE Technician
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide professional laptop/desktop support and customer service to military and civilian customers. Work involves troubleshooting hardware problems and repairing or referring to another repair facility as appropriate. Install, troubleshoot, configure and repair software issues for Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Microsoft Office 2000-2003. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues at the desktop level. Join PC's to the local Domains as required. Configure local PC connections to network printers. Perform custom TCP/IP configurations of desktops as required. Troubleshoot Outlook / Microsoft Exchange Server connectivity issues. Install other software as required by the customer. Other duties as directed by ITT management.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
1. Install, configure, and maintain DOD-approved communications software on government computers and configure the network to allow proper user access.
2. Install and configure network printers.
3. Responsible for both classified and unclassified computer system stability through the use of DOD-approved, Government-furnished operating systems and software.
4. Join client computers to Windows NT, 2000 domain.
5. Configure Microsoft outlook and manage personal folders in all versions of outlook.
6. Install, configure, and maintain security software on military computer systems.

Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router or NIPR Net

Wide range of client software.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Working environment will be 100% indoor. Individual should be able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted. Personnel will also be required to stand for long periods of time.
FREEDOM TO ACT: The position will report directly to the ADPE Lead but also will be directed by various Supervisors/managers.
Experience Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma required or equivalent. COMPTIA A+ hardware/software certification.
Must be a Level 1 IAT and possess a Network + Certification.
Experience: Requires a minimum of 2 years experience relating to automation equipment repair. Experience can be substituted for certifications.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be able to work rotating shift schedules possibly providing 24 hour day/7 day week coverage.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: All applicants must be U.S. Citizens and either posses, or have the ability to possess, a SECRET Security Clearance.
