Description: Job Responsibility:
• Directly involved in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various systems to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications
• Responsible for the monitoring of upgrade notifications and installation of systems/servers, applications, software, etc.
• Responsible for overseeing and maintaining office peripherals
• Develops, implements, maintains, and monitors procedures for all server backups
• Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs
• Makes recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement
• Perform on-site and remote technical support
• Responsible for the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources
• Maintains excellent communication with the Director of IT on all tasks and projects
• Creates and maintains excellent technical documentation
• Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule
• Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements: Qualified individual must possess 5 to 9 years experience in Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server platforms with an emphasis on Active Directory. Possess an advanced background in email messaging system such as Exchange 2000/2003, Kerio Mail Server or similar software; and, solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations; including, experience with routers & switches, Internet firewalls, and wireless technology. Must possess excellent quality customer service skills, and a strong work ethic. Able to perform as a team player with the ability to work as well independently. Must possess above average organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Windows scripting skills
• Strong experience setting up and managing database systems such as MS-SQL Server
• Background supporting telephone systems
• Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills
• Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Knowledge of Commercial Printing and Mailing - Preferred
Education Required:
• Bachelor’s degree; or, the combination of an Associate’s degree with the equivalent of seven years professional experience is required
• 2000/2003/2008 MCSE preferred
