Description:
The Junior Technical Engineer:
Reports to Senior Technical Consultants and is responsible for technical aspects of telecom smart cards (SIM, USIM, UICC, etc) in different access technology
Defines and maintains technical card specifications based on customer's requirements
Creates and validates test cards following the defined test plans
manages and coordinate projects internally with R&D and developers
prepares and manages internal documentation and creates user guides for customers
Gaining in seniority (initially under supervision), takes full ownership of the technical relations between the client and the customer and responsible for any smart card related technical topics.
Gaining in seniority, provides strong technical pre-sales support to the complete sales process including promotion of the clients services portfolio and analysis of customer requirements for cards and applications.
The Junior Technical Engineer supports technical management and Senior Technical Consultants, and:
understands the technologies, products and services brought by the client to Customers
understands the clients organizations and processes involved to deliver the products and services sold to the Customers. In particular the development, industrialization and manufacturing teams and their respective interactions with the Junior Project Manager
manipulates efficiently the clients technical tools and processes
provides feedback to the clients Corporate teams or the account team with features and benefits expected by the Customers
The Junior Technical Engineer:
proactively acts to understand customer needs and identify potential solutions based on the clients portfolio
assists the clients account team defining and/or positioning existing or new products and solutions
To do so, the Junior Technical Engineer
acquires a good technical knowledge of the Customer solutions where the client is positioned and a good understanding of other telecom solutions deployed at the Customer
understands the technical organization of the Customer and advises the client on how and where to promote the products and solutions

Professional Experience and Education
Undergraduate student or Bachelor in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Telecoms
Programming skills knowledge (C / C++ and Java) is a plus.
